Acid rain, or atomic broccoli macro algae is the best of both worlds! It does a good job exporting nutrients out of the water, and is a gorgeous ornamental algae with bright yellow and orange speckles under the right light
care level: moderate - because this macro is a great nutrient exporter, it may bottom out nutrients if left unchecked. Additional feeding may help keep nutrients stable, but dosing may become required.
Lighting: Acid rain does well in moderate to high lighting with a good spectrum of blues. It looks best with a little white splashed in, but requires a good spectrum for the best coloration and speckling
Flow: Moderate steady flow. Blasting acid rain with flow can damage it’s delicate frilly fronds, but too slow of flow will cause detritus build up, stressing the plant.
Placement: Acid Rain Macroalgae does well in anemone boxes, in a dedicated refugium, or nestled between rocks in displays.
