WYSIWYG - Aquacultured Fijiian Fungia Plate Coral 3.5"

Sale Price: $99.00 Original Price: $110.00
  • Fijiian Fungias are hardy corals, and generally easy to care for - Consumes Alkalinity, Calcium, Magnesium and trace elements out of the water column to grow and thrive. Requires monitoring of basic chemistry.

  • This nearly tea plate sized coral has been growing in my 40 gallon system for 2 years

  • Size: 2” across - grown from spawn

  • Light: low to moderately low light: 80-120 PAR. Should be moved up slowly if placed towards upper range. Regularly kept on the sand bad without issue. This one is just barely above the sand level, at about 85 PAR

  • Flow: Low to moderately low indirect flow. Keep detritus off their mantle without disrupting their thin flesh from expanding. Too high of flow can cause a fungia to cut it’s flesh on it’s skeleton, and it will recede to protect itself, which will heavily reduce feeding opportunity.

  • Temperament: Semi Aggressive - Tentacles are short, but capable of stinging nearby corals when inflated. Fungia corals can inflate to become more buoyant to make minor adjustments.

  • Scientific Classification: Fungiidae Fungia
