WYSIWYG - Pandora Zoa Colony

$55.00
  • Pandora Zoas are a great fast growing zoa that is a perfect beginner level coral

  • This zoa is hardy and easy to moderate care level. Taking care of them is easy, fragging them requires extra attention to safety procedures!

  • Light: Moderate light: 90-140 PAR. Acclimate slowly!

  • Flow: moderate indirect flow. Flow should be strong enough to keep detritus from settling on the polyps, but moderate in order to ensure polyps stay open and inflated

  • Temperament: Peaceful to mild. While Zoas do not have stinging cells, these fast growers are capable of smothering other coral territory. They are also capable of producing palytoxins which can deter growth of other corals. Place low, preferably on a rock island in the sand, for a bright pink garden of pandora zoas

  • If fragging, handle with care, and be sure to frag with safety goggles, a mask, and gloves! Palytoxins are toxic for people and may cause severe symptoms if proper fragging techniques are not performed. Do not rub your eyes or nose while fragging, and keep your working area well ventilated! Do not cut zoas out of water! Not all zoas will produce palytoxins, but it is impossible to tell which will. Treat all zoas as though they may produce these toxins to protect yourself from harmful adverse affects!
