Light: moderate to high light: 175-350 PAR. Acclimate slowly. Toadstool leathers retain brighter colors under the upper range.
Flow: Moderate to high intermittent flow. Flow should be strong enough to allow the coral to shed it’s skin roughly every 1 to 2 months. Do not allow detritus to settle on the surface of the toadstool cap.
Temperament: Semi Aggressive - While it is uncapable of stinging nearby corals, they may use a defense mechanism known as allelopathy, or the release of chemicals, as a form of warfare. Aggression from nearby corals is the likeliest cause for that activation of this capability, but it should be given space in order to avoid territorial dispute, of 4 to 6 inches. Keep sensitive corals upstream of flow direction if possible to prevent damage to SPS and LPS corals. Running carbon in your system can prevent some of these issues if allelopathy occurs.
